CHORUS NIAGARA GOLF TOURNAMENT

Well, we did it! The first annual Chorus Niagara Golf Tournament was a huge success, raising over $2000.

Forty golfers, and would-be golfers, turned out to the beautiful links of Rockway Glen on June 12 to support this event. Registrants received a "goody" bag, which included a sleeve of golf balls monogrammed with the Chorus Niagara Logo. Everyone had their photograph taken in their foursome beside the car which could be won for a "Hole in One".

Despite a rather blustery day, everyone participated enthusiastically. Many memories were made, and some nearly made . . . One golfer was only inches away from a hole in one and winning the new Ford Fiesta.

Golfers participated in a putting contest, and almost everyone tried to "beat the pro", who turned out to be our own Lynne Honsberger, designated "pro for the day".

After golf, some took advantage of the opportunity to have a massage back at the clubhouse. Others bid in a silent auction which included Blue Jays tickets, and a wine tasting and tour.

The steak dinner was absolutely delicious, and dessert was topped off with chocolate golf balls!

After dinner, every golfer walked away with a prize of some kind. Two teams tied for top honours, the Savoie Foursome and the Jamestee Foursome . . . The beginnings of a rivalry, perhaps?
