Since 2007 this activity has raised a substantial amount of funds for our group. This event takes place at the Pen Centre Shopping Mall in St. Catharines on a Saturday in May. The whole choir gathers in the Sears Court and sings joyfully for approximately 5 hours.
Many of the works we have sung over the years, under the baton of Robert Cooper, have become favourites of the choir and they are sung with such delightful precision. Guest conductors are also a big part of this fun. They are invited personalities of the Niagara area; local business owners, members of parliament, and leaders of our educational system to name a few.
Also, any member of the audience who has a burning desire to conduct such a fabulous choir, gets their own chance with the baton. This year’s Sing-A-Thon will take place on May 1st, 2010.
