Quiz Master Jeff Baker says that everyone will have a fun time at this fundraiser, which is one of several that Chorus Niagara runs to support its music making in the community. “We have questions from all sorts of categories such as geography, sports, literature, science, arts and we even weave in a little advertising for our last concert: Gilbert and Sullivan Extravaganza.”
The 90 questions are developed with an organizing team and answers are thoroughly researched. “We use a variety of sources beyond the Internet”, notes Head Judge Allison Baker, “to make sure of accuracy.”
Players are grouped into tables of eight and are served pizza after the third or fourth round. A cash bar is open before and during play. “We think this is an engaging way to welcome spring, support the Chorus and maybe even learn a new bit of information”, says Kathy Conway, one of the team members. “Questions are read out loud and we also use a few pictures and audio clips to challenge people.”
“I'm pleased that we've been able to arrange this year's for March 26th”, notes Baker. “I hope everyone comes out to enjoy a fabulous spring event which supports our music-making!”
